What do you think is the most precious commodity? A former pastor of mine said “Jesus’ Blood”! And I would agree!
What does the survey say? Number one: water. Number two: time. Three: crude oil (it is the most publicly traded commodity). Four is palladium (more precious than GOLD). And number five is data. (our “lifeblood”). I still hold to Jesus’ Blood as the most precious commodity in the entire universe!
And the joyful matter is that it CANNOT BE PURCHASED FOR ANY PRICE! It is free. If you believe in your heart and confess that Jesus shed His blood for you on the cross, died for you, was buried and rose again for you, YOU WILL BE SAVED!
We are all under stress and, in fact, under a curse. It’s called original sin. Because mankind (Adam and Eve) did not obey God but listened to and believed a lie, they fell. And because they fell out of relationship with God, we are fallen. But God had a plan to send His only begotten Son to this earth in the form of a man to teach us and pay the price for our sin. Jesus did it! He paid the price by His blood, His death, His burial, His resurrection to BREAK THE CURSE OF SIN AND DEATH AND GIVE US LIFE. What can we do to add to it? Nothing. Our job is to believe—to put our faith in Christ and Him alone. No one else. Nothing else can save us. Only Jesus. He did it. We believe. The gospel—good news, for those who will believe. Our sins are gone. We’ve been set free. Our God, our Savior, has ransomed me!
Do I need to provide a radio update? I suppose. I’ve come to realize that hanging out with God is pretty awesome. So my portion with Winds of Praise is to keep doing so. Since the founding of this radio/print ministry, I have thought that the Holy Spirit could be the One Who Draws. If we lift up Jesus, He will draw all people to Himself. It’s not my job to promote what we do; I’ll leave that alone. “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15).
